RC N Watch: Natürlich weiter Night Raids

In Doshi district, Baghlan province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force killed several insurgents during a security operation targeting a senior Taliban leader yesterday.

The leader is the senior military commander for Kunduz province and former district commander for Chahar Darah district. He works with Kunduz suicide attack network leadership to plan complex attacks and IED placements targeting Afghan security forces.

He is also directly involved with military operations in Takhar province. The leader maintains close contact with senior IMU leadership and works with members of the Peshawar Shura Council.

The combined security force, led by intelligence reports, targeted a remote compound in Doshi district. Upon arriving on scene the force noticed several insurgents attempting to flee the area. The force identified themselves as an ISAF security force in native languages. In an attempt to engage the insurgents without using force, the security force used a spot light as a de-escalation measure, but insurgents did not cooperate. As the force moved into position they were met with small arms fire from the insurgents. The security force then engaged the armed insurgents, killing several of them.
