Im andauernden russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine bekommt die iranische Unterstützung Russlands zunehmend Bedeutung. Beide Länder vereinbarten nach Angaben der USA und Großbritanniens eine weitergehende militärische Zusammenarbeit – und wie als Beleg dafür trafen iranische Drohnen die Stromversorgung Odessas empfindlich. Der Sammler am 10. Dezember 2022:

• Am Samstagabend trafen russische Luftangriffe auch (wieder) die Hafenstadt Odessa – und verschärften die Energieprobleme. Aus der regelmäßigen Videoansprache des ukrainischen Präsidenten Wolodymyr Selenskyj:

The key for today is energy. The situation in Odesa region is very difficult. After the night strike by Iranian drones, Odesa and other cities and villages of the region are in the dark. So far, more than 1.5 million people in Odesa are without electricity. Only critical infrastructure is connected and to the extent where it is possible to supply electricity.
In total, Russian terrorists used 15 Shahed drones against Odesa. During one night on Saturday. This is the true attitude of Russia towards Odesa, towards Odesa residents – deliberate bullying, deliberate attempt to bring disaster to the city. In general, both emergency and stabilization power outages continue in various regions.
The power system is now, to put it mildly, very far from a normal state – there is an acute shortage in the system. That is why there are blackout schedules. The largest number is in the Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Ternopil, Sumy, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky regions and in the city of Kyiv.
It must be understood: even if there are no heavy missile strikes, this does not mean that there are no problems. Almost every day in different regions there are shelling, there are missile attacks, drone attacks. Energy facilities are hit almost every day. Due to losses in the system, everyone in the system has to reduce the limits. Recovery is also very difficult. But still, our energy and utility crews are doing truly heroic things, restoring in weeks what would have required months of work.

Iran has become one of Russia’s top military backers since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Iran’s support to the Russian military is likely to grow in the coming months: Russia is attempting to obtain more weapons, including hundreds of ballistic missiles.
In return Russia is highly likely offering Iran an unprecedented level of military and technical support that is transforming their defence relationship.
Russia has highly likely expended a large proportion of its stock of its own SS-26 Iskander short range ballistic missiles, which carry a 500kg warhead up to 500km.
If Russia succeeds in bringing a large number of Iranian ballistic missiles into service, it will likely use them to continue and expand its campaign of strikes against Ukraine’s critical national infrastructure.

Zur Kooperation von Russland und Iran hatte sich bereits am (gestrigen) Freitag die US-Regierung ähnlich geäußert, wie die New York Times berichtet:

The Biden administration said on Friday that Russia and Iran were strengthening their military ties into a “full-fledged defense partnership,” warning that their relationship posed a threat to Ukraine as well as to Iran’s geographic neighbors.
“Russia is seeking to collaborate with Iran on areas like weapons development and trade,” said John Kirby, a National Security Council spokesman. “As part of this collaboration, we are concerned that Russia intends to provide Iran with advanced military components.”
The Biden administration is aware of reports that the two countries are seeking to establish a joint production line for drones in Russia, Mr. Kirby said, adding that Iranian support for Russia’s military is expected to grow in the coming months.

The two-hundred-nineties (290) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military large-scale invasion continues.
Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by russian invaders in the areas of the settlements of Ploshchanka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Opytne, Kurdyumivka, Druzhba, Nevelske, Pobyeda and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 5 missile and about 20 air strikes, as well as over 60 MLRS attacks.
The settlements of Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy oblast, as well as Komyshuvakha, Hryhorivske and Yulyivka in Zaporizhzhia, were hit by rockets.
In the future, the threat of missile attacks on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine remains.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation remains without significant changes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
In the Siverskyi direction, the settlements of Khodyne and Basivka of the Sumy oblast were hit by mortar attacks.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the areas of the settlements of Strilecha, Krasne, Zelene, Ternova, Starytsa, Ohirtseve, Chuhunivka, and Kamianka of the Kharkiv oblast were shelled by mortars and barrel artillery.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, Berestove and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv oblast and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk oblast with tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy fired tanks and artillery of various calibers in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske and Chervonpopivka in Luhansk oblast and Torske and Hryhorivka in Donetsk oblast.
In the Bakhmut direction, more than twenty populated areas were hit by fire from the russian occupiers. Among them are Verkhnyokamianske, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Diliivka, Druzhba and Zalizne of the Donetsk oblast.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy shelled the Avdiivka, Berdychi, Pervomaiske, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk oblast.
In the direction of Novopavlivsk, artillery and mortar attacks were recorded near Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka, Zolotay Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, and Novopil of the Donetsk oblast.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage on the settlements of Chervone, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipilske, Orihiv, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Kamianske, Chervonodniprovka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Vyshchetarasivka in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of settlements in the Kherson oblast, which are not far from the contact line. Antonivka, Chornobayivka, and the city of Kherson were hit by artillery fire, and civilians were injured.
In addition to the significant losses of servicemen of the russian occupation forces on the territory of Ukraine as a result of the actions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy also suffers losses from the so-called „friendly fire“. This is a consequence of the low training of tank and artillery crews, as well as the lack of interaction and communication between units.
Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian missile forces and artillery hit 4 control points and 5 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

Russian Federation Armed Forces continue the special military operation.
In Kupyansk direction, more than 30 Ukrainian servicemen and 3 pickup trucks have been eliminated as a result of shelling of the enemy concentrations areas near Sinkovka and Kislovka (Kharkov region).
In Krasniy-Liman direction, Russian troops continued their offensive, which resulted in the occupation of more favourable positions. 2 counterattacks by the AFU units reinforced by foreign mercenaries towards Chervonopopovka and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People“s Republic) have been disrupted by artillery fire and active actions of the troops. Up to 60 Ukrainian military personnel and mercenaries, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, and 2 armoured vehicles have been eliminated.
In Donetsk direction, Russian units continued their offensive, knocking the enemy out of fortified strongpoints. More than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 1 armoured personnel carrier and 3 pick-up trucks have been eliminated.
In South Donetsk direction, attacks by the AFU on the positions of our troops towards Sladkoye and Shevchenko (Donetsk People’s Republic) have been thwarted. The enemy has been defeated by artillery fire and driven back to the line of departure.
In addition, 2 AFU sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been destroyed near Vladimirovka. The enemy’s losses in this direction amounted to up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armoured personnel carriers and 4 pickup trucks.
Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery have neutralised six enemy control points near Sinkovka, Kruglyakovka, Berestovoye (Kharkov region), Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic), Bakhmutskoye and Kleshchiyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic). In addition, 92 AFU artillery units in firing positions as well as manpower and military equipment in 197 areas have been hit.
1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 counterbattery warfare radar has been destroyed near Torskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
2 Ukrainian Grad multiple-launch rocket systems have been destroyed at a firing position near Seversk (Donetsk People’s Republic).
4 unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed by air defence forces near Yelenovka, Blagoveshchenka and Valeryanovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
10 HIMARS, Uragan and Olkha multiple-launch rocket systems have been shot down near Komsomolskoye, Novogorovka and Zhovtnevoye (Zaporozhye region).
In total, 341 airplanes and 181 helicopters, 2,647 unmanned aerial vehicles, 392 air defence missile systems, 7,049 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 926 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,672 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 7,534 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The two hundred ninetieth (290) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military large-scale invasion continues.
During the day, the enemy carried out 15 airstrikes, and also carried out more than 15 MLRS attacks.
At night, the enemy attacked the energy infrastructure facilities in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions with allegedly Iranian attack UAV „Shakhed-136“. 10 out of 15 UAVs were intercepted.
The threat of the enemy launching missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine remains in the future.
The republic of belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, provides infrastructure for the training of enemy units.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy fired mortars and barrel artillery at the areas of Zelene, Starytsa, Ohirtseve, Varvarivka, Chuhunivka, Dvorichna and Ridkodub settlements of the Kharkiv oblast.
In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the areas of Kislivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast were hit by fire; Terny in Donetsk oblast and Ploshchanka, Dibrova, Makiivka, Nevske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk oblast.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy continues to make attempts to break through the defense of our troops. It fired at the positions of the Defense Forces from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of more than twenty settlements. Among them are Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Zalizne and Avdiivka of the Donetsk oblast.
In the direction of Novopavlivsk, the enemy is defending and shelling our positions with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery near the settlements of Velika Novosilka, Neskuchne, Prechystivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk oblast.
In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled more than 15 settlements. In particular, Zelene Pole and Vremivka in the Donetsk oblast and Hulyaipole, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of a number of settlements in the Kherson region, which are near the contact line. The city of Kherson and its surroundings suffered yet another fire damage.
In order to counteract numerous cases of desertion in units of the russian occupation forces in the territories of Luhansk region, SMS messages are being sent to subscribers of the Lugacom mobile network with a warning about criminal liability for leaving the places of service and permanent deployment points of military units.
The defeat of the concentration area of the occupiers in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region has been confirmed. Thus, up to 150 invaders were injured, 50 of them were taken to the hospital in the city of Melitopol. Information about liquidated ones is being clarified.
At the checkpoints around the city of Berdyansk, counter-subversive measures have been strengthened, the number of servicemen of the russian occupation forces has increased, and checks of civilians have begun to be carried out more thoroughly. People without local registration are not allowed into the city.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, in the city of Horlivka, since December 8 of this year, the occupation administration offers representatives of small and medium-sized businesses to switch to remote work mode, due to the increased risk of shelling allegedly from the Defense Forces. To intimidate local residents, the russian occupiers fired four 152-mm artillery rounds into the city center.
During the current day, units of the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit 7 control points, 6 personnel concentration areas, an artillery concentration area, and an enemy ammunition depot.
