Ukraine/Russland/NATO – der Sammler am 5. Dezember 2022 (m.
Russia launched a volley of missiles at Ukraine’s energy grid on Monday, knocking out power in several regions, officials said, in the latest in a monthslong campaign of strikes by Moscow targeting civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian air defense systems fired into the sky in multiple areas of the country but not all missiles were intercepted, as officials reported damage to electrical systems. Following a grim routine, Ukrainians headed for bomb shelters in Kyiv and other cities. (…)
By midafternoon, multiple reports surfaced in Ukraine of inbound missiles. A New York Times reporter south of Kyiv saw a cruise missile in flight traveling toward the capital. The extent of damage, and of casualties, was not immediately clear.
Two Russian military airfields, at least one of which Moscow uses for airstrikes on Ukraine, were reportedly hit by explosions Monday morning.
According to footage published on Russian and Ukrainian social media, a drone apparently hit the Engels-2 air base in the Saratov region, more than 600 kilometers to the east of Ukraine. (…)
Russian media also reported that another blast hit an airfield outside the city of Ryazan, around 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow. The explosion occurred in the parking area at the airfield, three people were killed and five were injured, Russian state news agency TASS reported.
Ergänzung: Die Darstellung des russischen Verteidigungsministeriums dazu:
On the morning of 5 December, the Kiev regime attempted to attack by Soviet-made UAVs the military airfields at Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region and Engels in the Saratov region in an effort to disable Russian long-range aircraft.
Russian air defence forces intercepted the Ukrainian UAVs as they were flying at a low altitude.
The crash and explosion of the wreckage on the Russian airfields caused minor damage to the hull armour of the two airplanes.
Three Russian maintenance personnel on the airfield suffered fatal injuries.
Another four servicemen wounded were taken to medical facilities where they were given all the necessary medical care.
Despite attempts by the Kiev regime to disrupt the combat operations of Russian Long-Range Aviation by an act of terrorism, today at around 3 pm (Moscow time) the command and control system and related defense complex facilities, communication hubs, power plants, and military units of Ukraine were struck with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons.
The objective of the strike has been achieved. All of the designated 17 targets were engaged.
The strike disrupted the transfer by rail of Ukrainian military reserves, foreign weapons, military equipment and ammunition to the areas of combat operations.
• Das britische Intel Update:
In recent months, the number of sorties conducted by Russian tactical combat aircraft over Ukraine has reduced significantly. Russian aircraft now probably conducts tens of missions per day, compared to a high of up to 300 per day in March 2022.
Russia has now lost over 60 fixed-wing aircraft in the conflict, likely including an additional Su-24M FENCER fighter-bomber and a Su-25 FROGFOOT ground attack aircraft last week.
The decrease in sorties is likely a result of continued high threat from Ukrainian air defences, limitations on the flying hours available to Russian aircraft, and worsening weather.
With Russia’s ground attack tactics largely reliant on visual identification and unguided munitions, the Russian air force will likely continue a low rate of ground attack operations through the poor winter weather.

Desolates Ansehen. Politisch eigentlich schon komplett zerstört.
Wer sollte es an ihrer Stelle machen?
Keine Ahnung.
@Herr Staudte:
@AoR
Sehr gute Frage.

https://responsiblestatecraft.org/2022/12/06/ukraine-hits-targets-deep-inside-russia-in-break-with-biden-administration/
„Our focus is on continuing to do what we’ve been doing, which is to make sure that Ukraine has in its hands what it needs to defend itself, what it needs to push back against the Russian aggression, to take back territory that’s been seized from it since February 24th…“

@Rocketscience: danke für die Hinweise.
