Ukrainian specialists will join the work of the joint international investigative commission investigating the incident with the fall of the rocket fragments on the territory of Poland. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy while answering questions during his participation in the Bloomberg New Economy Forum.
„I don’t know what happened. We don’t know for sure. The world does not know. But I am sure that it was a Russian missile, I am sure that we fired from air defense systems. But it is impossible to talk about something specific today – that it was the air defense of Ukraine. Although we are grateful that no one accuses us, because we are fighting against Russian missiles on our territory,“ Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, the President insists: only after the investigation, will it be possible to draw conclusions about which missile fell on the territory of Poland.
„Yesterday we insisted that we be included in the joint international investigative commission, and already late in the evening we received confirmation. In the morning, our specialists will go there and join this professional community,“ the Head of State said.

Q: And then, Chairman Milley, after this strike occurred, did you reach out to your Russian counterparts, or did any other military officer reach out to their Russian counterparts to protect against escalation? And if not, why not?
GEN. MILLEY: There were — our — I do that through my staff to set the calls up. The short answer is yes, some attempts were made. No success with the Russian counterpart. Did have — I did talk to my Ukrainian counterpart immediately, General Zaluzhnyi. Talked to him several time, in fact. Also, Polish counterpart and several other CHOD’s (Chief of Defense) in Europe. And exactly what the secretary said. Investigation’s ongoing. There’s professionals there to do the forensics, you know, all the debris that’s in and around the impact site and so on and so forth, and very shortly, we’ll know all the facts, and we just don’t them right this second.
Q: So Russia did not take the call?
GEN. MILLEY: Right. My staff was unsuccessful in getting me linked up with General Gerasimov. That’s correct.

• Unterdessen halten die russischen Luftangriffe auf die ukrainische Infrastruktur an. Aus der Übersicht der New York Times:

Russian missiles pounded Ukraine on Thursday in a series of shattering explosions, killing four people, part of Moscow’s escalation of attacks on cities and energy infrastructure since it withdrew its forces from the southern city of Kherson.
Missiles hit residential buildings where three families were living in Vilniansk, a city east of the Dnipro River in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, a senior official in the president’s office. He said in a post on the Telegram messaging app that four people had died. The region has sustained some of the country’s heaviest shelling in recent weeks. (…)
Ukraine’s air defense systems shot down four cruise missiles and at five drones in the Kyiv region, the city’s military administration said on Telegram.

• Das britische Intel Update:

Over the afternoon of 15 November, Russia carried out up to 80 long range missile strikes, mostly against power infrastructure targets across Ukraine.
This is likely the largest number of strikes that Russia has conducted in a single day since the first week of the invasion.
Munitions were launched from air, sea and land-based platforms. Although a large proportion of missiles were successfully intercepted, Ukraine is facing a significant decrease in the power available from its national grid. This will impact upon civilian access to communications, heating and water supplies.
Continued strikes at this scale are drawing deeply upon Russia’s reserves of conventional cruise missiles, as degrading Ukrainian’s national infrastructure has become a key element of Russia’s strategic approach to the campaign.
