Ukraine/Russland/NATO – der Sammler am 11. November 2022

In Kherson direction, today, at 05.00 am (Moscow time), units of the Russian forces finished their redeployment to the left bank of Dnepr river.
No hardware or armament has been left on the right bank.
All the Russian servicemen have redeployed to the left bank of Dnepr.
Units and formations of the Russian Armed Forces have taken defence lines and positions, preliminarily prepared in engineering terms.
Casualties in personnel, armament, hardware, and material means have been prevented.
All the civilians, who have expressed their desire to abandon the right-bank part of Kherson region, have been assisted in evacuation.
Over the night, the enemy attempted to frustrate the transportation of civilians and the redeployment of forces to the left bank of Dnepr.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the retreat of all troops to the eastern bank of the Dnipro River was complete. However, residents of Kherson said on Friday morning that some Russian soldiers were still present in the city, dressed in civilian clothes.
That did not stop people from going to government buildings in a show of defiance as they waited for the Ukrainian military to enter the city in force. (…)
The remaining residents of Kherson, though, were still awaiting the arrival of Ukrainian troops.
One resident, Ivan, said on Friday that the sound of artillery had thundered across the city through the night and into the early morning. He said much of the fire seemed to be directed at Russian convoys trying to move across the Antonivsky bridge, the main crossing out of the city.

The Kremlin said on Friday that Russian forces‘ withdrawal from Kherson would not change the status of the region, which Moscow has proclaimed part of Russia after moving to annex it from Ukraine. (…)
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters the region’s status was „fixed“ and that no changes were possible.

• Das britische Intel Update:

Since 10 October, Russia has attacked Ukraine with a campaign of strikes targeting electric power infrastructure. To date, this action has come in waves.
The most recent intense strikes were on 31 October, which involved targeting hydroelectric dam facilities for the first time.
The strikes have resulted in widespread damage to transmission stations and power plants. Scheduled and emergency blackouts have become routine in parts of Ukraine, with Kyiv notably impacted.
Recoverability varies, and the impacts of strikes are unlikely to be felt uniformly.
Continued degradation of networks by Russian strikes will almost certainly have consequences for interlinked water and heating systems, that will be most significantly felt by the civilian population during winter, as demand increases.
Russian strikes on power generation and transmission are having a disproportionate effect upon civilians in Ukraine, indiscriminately impacting critical functions such as healthcare and heating.
The continued prioritisation of critical national infrastructure over military targets strongly implies Russian intent to strike at civilian morale.
