Ukraine/Russland/NATO – der Sammler am 9. August 2022
August 2022:
• Das britische Intel Update:
Over the weekend, Russia has continued to focus efforts on reinforcing defences in southern Ukraine. Despite the shift in effort, Russia has maintained attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donetsk oblast.
Over the last 30 days, Russia’s assault towards the town of Bakhmut has been its most successful axis in the Donbas; however, Russia has only managed to advance about 10km during this time.
In other Donbas sectors where Russia was attempting to break through, its forces have not gained more than 3km during this 30 day period; almost certainly significantly less than planned.
Despite its continued heavy use of artillery in these areas, Russia has not been able to generate capable combat infantry in sufficient numbers to secure more substantial advances.

An explosion rocked a key Russian air base on the Kremlin-occupied Crimean Peninsula on Tuesday, sending up a huge plume of smoke, killing at least one person and sowing confusion over what exactly had happened.
A senior Ukrainian military official with knowledge of the situation said that Ukrainian forces were behind the attack. A spokesman for the Kremlin-installed leader of Crimea confirmed that there had been an explosion but asked residents to refrain from jumping to conclusions about its cause.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement only that the explosion was caused by the detonation of aviation ordinance at the Saki air base. Local officials later said at least one person was killed and five were wounded.
Russian and occupation authorities did not speculate publicly about the possibility of a Ukrainian attack. The senior Ukrainian official, however, took credit for it.
“This was an air base from which planes regularly took off for attacks against our forces in the southern theater,” the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters. The official would not disclose the type of weapon used in the attack, saying only that “a device exclusively of Ukrainian manufacture was used.”

The one hundred sixty-seventh (167) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.

Airstrikes were carried out near Vershyna, Vesela Dolyna, Zaytseve, Dacha, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka, and Spirne.
The enemy went on an assault in the area of Spirne, came under dagger fire of our soldiers and retreated chaotically.

Ukrainian units are firmly holding the defense and continue to successfully carry out the specified fire missions.

@Obibiber:

Unkommentiert.
US:
„Hey Ukraine, here are some missiles, but you may not use them to shell Russian territory“
Ukraine:
„Crimea is Ukraine“
US:
„Of course Crimea is Ukraine“.
Ernsthaft:
@hdevreij
„In the New York Times the ‚Grim-2‘ SRBM was mentioned“.
@KyivIndependent
⚡️Local authorities: Families of Russian military leave occupied Kherson following Ukrainian attacks. According to the Kherson Oblast State Administration, due to the strikes on the Antonivsky and Kakhovsky bridges, „panic started to spread“ among the Russians in Kherson.
