Ukraine/Russland/NATO – der Sammler am 4. Juli 2022

Juli…) :

• Das britische Intel Update:

Ukrainian forces have withdrawn from Lysychansk, likely falling back to prepared defensive positions. Russia’s Ministry of Defence had earlier claimed to have completed the encirclement of Lysychansk and secured full control of the city.
Fighting in and around the city in Luhansk Oblast has intensified over the past week with Russian forces making steady progress.
The city was the last remaining major population centre in Luhansk Oblast under Ukrainian control. Russia’s focus will now almost certainly switch to capturing Donetsk Oblast, a large portion of which remain under the control of Ukrainian forces.
The fight for the Donbas has been grinding and attritional and this is highly unlikely to change in the coming weeks.
With harvest underway, Russia’s invasion continues to have a devastating impact on Ukraine’s agricultural sector. The war has caused major disruption to the supply chains of seed and fertiliser which Ukrainian farmers rely on.
Russia’s blockade of Odesa continues to severely constrain Ukraine’s grain exports. Because of this, Ukraine’s agricultural exports in 2022 are unlikely to be more than 35% of the 2021 total.
Following its retreat from the Black Sea outpost of Snake Island, Russia misleadingly claimed that ‘the ball is now in Ukraine’s court’ in relation to improving grain exports.
In reality, it is Russia’s disruption of Ukraine’s agricultural sector which continues to exacerbate the global food crisis.

Operational update regarding the #russian_invasion as of 06:00 on July 04, 2022
The one hundred thirty first (131) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissya and Siversky directions. On the last one, from the territory of the Kursk region, the aggressor used artillery and helicopters of the army aviation to defeat the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of Vasylivske, Bilopillia, Bachivsk and Vovkivka settlements of the Sumy oblast.
In the Kharkiv direction, the grouping of the enemy’s troops, with the support of the army aviation, is concentrating its efforts on restraining the actions of our troops and preventing them from going on the offensive. In the direction of the settlement of Prudyanka, Ukrainian soldiers resolutely suppressed the enemy’s assault attempt.
In order to disrupt the control and communication system of the Defense Forces, the enemy actively uses radio-electronic warfare complexes.
In the Slovyansk direction, enemy units are trying to establish control over the settlements of Bohorodychne, Mazanivka, and Dolyna through assault operations. Fighting continues.
The enemy is regrouping troops to resume the offensive. For this purpose, a battalion tactical group was moved from the district of the city of Izyum in the direction of the settlement of Snizhkivka, and additional units of barrel artillery were deployed.
In the Donetsk direction, the main efforts of the enemy groups are focused on the gradual displacement of units of the Defense Forces on the Siversk – Fedorivka – Bakhmut line.
In the Kramatorsk direction, after conducting artillery preparation, the enemy forced the river Siverskyi Donets, is entrenched in the areas of the settlements of Lysychansk and Bilohorivka.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy intensified shelling of the positions of our troops with barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line. He inflicted massive rocket attacks in the areas of Pokrovske, Berestove, Spirne and in the area of the Vuhlehirska TPP.
With the support of artillery, the enemy conducts offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Vasylivka, Berestove, Spirne, Klynove, and Mayorsk, without success.
In the Avdiyivka and Kurakhivka directions, the occupiers carried out assaults in the direction of Pobieda and Maryinka settlements. The enemy’s attack aircraft launched missile strikes in the areas of the eastern outskirts of Avdiyivka and Maryinka.
On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy carries out a systematic fire attack with the aim of restraining the units of the Defense Forces and preventing their transfer to other directions.
In the South Buh and Tavriysky directions, the aggressor’s main efforts are focused on trying to regain lost positions in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Potemkine, and Myrne, and preventing our troops from carrying out counteroffensive actions in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The enemy is improving the engineering equipment of the positions in the Novovoskresenske district.
As part of the logistical support of the troops, 17 wagons with ammunition were moved from the temporarily occupied Crimea to the „Kalanchak“ railway station (Myrne, Kherson oblast).
Three carriers of sea-based cruise missiles of the „Caliber“ type are in readiness for the use of missile weapons in the waters of the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian aviation and rocket artillery units continue successfully to fire damage to ammunition warehouses and accumulations of manpower and military equipment of the russian occupiers.

• Zur Dokumentation: der vom Kreml veröffentlichte (übersetzte) Wortlaut eines Treffens des russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin mit Verteidigungsminister Sergej Schoigu:

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu: Comrade Supreme Commander-in-Chief,
Since June 19, formations and units of the Centre Group under the command of Colonel General Alexander Lapin, in co-operation with units of the Second People’s Militia Corps of the Lugansk People’s Republic and supported by the southern group of forces led by Army General Sergei Surovikin, have successfully carried out an offensive operation to liberate the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Within two weeks, they encircled and destroyed the groups in the Gorskoye cauldron, around Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. Twenty-five localities have been taken under control, the largest of which are Severodonetsk, Zolotoye, Gorskoye and Volcheyarovka. The operation ended yesterday with the liberation of Lisichansk, one of the largest towns in the Lugansk People’s Republic. A total of 670 square kilometres of territory were taken under control during the active offensive.
The total losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 5,469 personnel, including 2,218 killed and 3,251 wounded; 196 tanks and other armoured vehicles, 12 aircraft, one helicopter, 69 drones, six long-range surface-to-air missile systems, 97 multiple rocket launchers, 166 field and mortar artillery pieces and 216 vehicles of various purposes.
When retreating from Lisichansk, the enemy abandoned 39 tanks and other armoured vehicles, 11 guns and mortars, 48 Javelins and NLAW anti-tank missile systems, 18 Stinger systems, and three unmanned aerial vehicles.
Today the demining of the city of Lisichansk and its environs is underway, as is the delivery of humanitarian cargo, as well as the provision of medical assistance to civilians.
The Russian Armed Forces are continuing the special military operation.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good. Thank you.
As you know, Colonel General Alexander Lapin and Army General Sergei Surovikin also reported to me today on the progress in fulfilling their tasks and presented their proposals for the development of offensive operations. Both the Defence Ministry and the General Staff are considering the proposals of the field commanders.
The units that took part in active combat operations and achieved success and victories in the Lugansk direction, of course, should rest and build up their combat capabilities. Other military formations, including the East Group and the West Group, must carry out their tasks according to the previously approved plans, according to the single scheme, and I hope that everything will happen in their directions in the same way as it has happened in Lugansk.
I agree with your proposal to award Commander of the Centre Group Colonel General Lapin and Deputy Commander of the 8th Army of the Southern Military District Major General Abachev the title of Hero of Russia. The corresponding Presidential Executive Order will be signed today.
I would also ask you to recommend for state decorations all military personnel who distinguished themselves in the course of these combat operations. Based on your daily reports, I know that the Russian army has many such brave, professional soldiers, daring – in a good way – warriors, and they should all be honoured with corresponding state decorations of their Motherland.
My congratulations and words of gratitude also go to the soldiers of the 2nd Army Corps of the LPR People’s Militia. I know that they worked actively and competently, too, and showed courage and heroism in the truest sense of the word, when liberating their native land.
I congratulate all of you and wish you further success.
Thank you.

Operational update regarding the #russian_invasion as of 18:00 on July 04, 2022
The one hundred thirty-first (131) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.
The situation has not undergone significant changes in the Volyn and Polissya directions. The units of the armed forces of the republic of belarus continue the fortification equipment of defensive positions in the border areas.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Vasylivske, Bilopillia and Atynske settlements of the Sumy oblast.
In the Kharkiv direction, the russian occupiers continue their artillery shelling of the city of Kharkiv and settlements to the north, northeast and east of it. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Petrivka. Ukrainian soldiers harshly stopped the enemy’s attempt to storm the village of Sosnivka and pushed the invaders back.
Trying to somehow interfere with the logistical support of the units of the Defense Forces, the enemy remotely mined the area near Cherkasky Tyshki. A counter-battery fight continues in the direction.
In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy is making attempts to improve the tactical position of its units. Conducted artillery shelling in the areas of Dolyna, Dibrivne, Bohorodichne, Mazanivka, Sukha Balka, Krasnopillya, Virnopillya, Velyka Komyshuvakha settlements, and also carried out airstrikes near Dibrivne and Bohorodychne. The enemy is conducting an assault in the direction of the settlement of Mazanivka, with partial success.
In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on hitting our units with fire. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance using Orlan-10 UAV near Pavlohrad and Pokrovsk.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the aggressor shelled the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamyansk from tanks and barrel artillery. Conducted an airstrike near Tetyanivka.
Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled the assault in the settlement of Bilohorivka. The occupiers left.
In the Bakhmut direction, enemy shelling from cannon artillery was recorded in the areas of Spirne, Berestove and Vershyna settlements. The enemy also carried out an airstrike near Vershyna.
Our defenders forced the enemy to retreat after his offensive in the direction of the Vuhlehirska TPP and an unsuccessful reconnaissance battle in the direction of the outskirts of Berestove.
In the Avdiyivka, Kurakhivka, Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia, and South Buh directions, the enemy did not stop shelling from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery along the contact line. On the latter, the enemy carried out an air strike in the area of Ternivka settlement.
In the waters of the Black Sea, in readiness for missile strikes on objects on the territory of Ukraine, the Russian invaders keep three carriers of high-precision weapons. The total volley is up to 20 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles.
Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on the enemy in all directions where active hostilities continue.
russian occupiers, in order to somehow justify their destruction of civilian objects on the territory of Ukraine, continue to leak information about the location of military units in schools, churches and hospitals.
We urge you to trust information only from verified sources and not to spread Russian fakes and disinformation.
