Russian forces have almost certainly suffered thousands of casualties during their invasion of Ukraine.
Russia is likely now looking to mobilise its reservist and conscript manpower, as well as private military companies and foreign mercenaries, to replace these considerable losses.
It is unclear how these groups will integrate into the Russian ground forces in Ukraine and the impact this will have on combat effectiveness.

The 29th day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion has begun.
The Defence Forces continues to conduct a defence operation in the Eastern, Southeastern and Northeastern directions.
The enemy did not succeed in any of them.
Groups of troops deter the enemy in these areas, conduct a stabilization operation and perform territorial defence tasks.
Enemy aircraft continue to be active, striking from the air, and more than 250 aircraft flights have been recorded in the last 24 hours (60 more than on March 22). The enemy’s main targets remain military and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulses concentrated missile and air strikes and air attacks of the enemy, air cover of important objects of Ukraine and groups of troops. For the previous day, 11 enemy air targets were hit (7 planes, 1 UAV, 1 helicopter and 2 cruise missiles.) Information about their final downing is being clarified.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, in connection with peaceful protests against the occupation, the enemy resorted to terror of the local population, actively using rosguard units to prevent these actions of civil disobedience to the occupation authorities.
The enemy continues to lose manpower and equipment in all directions. Total resistance of the Ukrainian people continues.

Briefing by Russian Defence Ministry

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
By the morning of March 24, the units of the Russian Armed Forces took control Izyum city in Kharkov region.
On the evening of March 23 and on the night of March 24, high-precision long-range sea- and air-based weapons attacked military facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As a result of the strikes, 13 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed, including 9 S-300 and 4 Buk-M1 in Danilovka, south of Kiev, formation headquarters and missile and artillery weapons depot in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, as well as a temporary deployment point of the nationalist battalion in Lisichansk city.
Operational-tactical and army aviation hit 60 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among them: 2 command posts, 2 multiple launch rocket systems, 4 ammunition depots, 47 areas of concentration of equipment and military hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian Air Defence means shot down 2 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Staraya Markovka and Kharkov.
In total, 257 unmanned aerial vehicles, 202 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,572 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 160 multiple launch rocket systems, 633 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,379 units of special military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed during the operation.
The Russian Defence Ministry continues to study documents received from employees of Ukrainian laboratories about secret military biological activities of the United States in Ukraine.
Experts of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical protection troops during the study of documents revealed new facts proving the direct involvement of the US Department of Defence in the development of biological weapons components in Ukraine.
In the near future, we will show original documents demonstrating that UP-2 biological project, which we have already talked about, was developed and approved by the Pentagon. The main objective of this project was to carry out a molecular analysis of particularly dangerous infections endemic to Ukraine. This work involved sampling the pathogen from old animal burial grounds to obtain new anthrax strains.
However, the Pentagon’s experiments were not limited to the development of dangerous infections. For example, a pharmaceutical company contracted by the US Department of Defence, according to documents obtained, was working with the Ukrainian Defence Ministry to test unregistered medical drugs specifically on Ukrainian servicemen.
We will tell you about these and other documented facts in the near future within a special briefing.

The UK will provide an additional 6,000 missiles to Ukraine, in addition to the 4,000 NLAW’s and Javelin missiles already supplied.
Lethal defensive military aid, including Starstreak high-velocity anti-air missiles, will help Ukrainians continue to defend themselves
We’re providing £25 million in financial backing for the Ukrainian military, which is on top of the £400 million we’ve committed in humanitarian and economic aid.
The UK will also provide an additional £4.1 million for the BBC World Service to tackle disinformation in Russia and Ukraine, as well as new financial and policing support for the International Criminal Court’s investigation into war crimes.

Speech by Chief of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, based on the results of the analysis of documents related to the military biological activities of the United States on the territory of Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defence continues to analyze documents revealing the military-biological activities of the Pentagon in Ukraine.
The incoming materials allow us to trace the pattern of interaction between US government agencies and Ukrainian bio-objects. The involvement of entities close to the current US leadership, notably the Rosemont Seneca investment fund run by Hunter Biden, is noticeable in the funding of these activities. The Fund has significant financial resources of at least $2.4 billion. The foundation is closely linked to key contractors of the US military department, including Metabiota, which, along with Black and Veach, is a major supplier of equipment to the Pentagon’s bio-labs around the world.
The scale of the program is impressive. The US Agency for International Development, the George Soros Foundation and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention are directly involved, in addition to the military department. Scientific supervision is provided by leading research organisations, including the Los Alamos National Laboratory, which is developing nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project.

Despite significant losses and demoralised personnel, the military-political leadership of the russian federation does not refuse to continue its war against Ukraine. The enemy continues to destroy the infrastructure of peaceful towns and villages of Ukraine, grossly violating the rules of warfare and neglecting to comply with the requirements of international humanitarian law.
According to the available information, among the personnel of the armed forces of the russian federation, propaganda work is constantly being carried out, which imposes the idea that the war must be completed before the 9th of May 2022.
The vast majority of the russian federation’s medical institutions in settlements located near the territory of Ukraine, are occupied by wounded servicemen of the russian federation, who took part in the war against ukraine and encountered units of the defense forces in combat.
As a matter of urgency, the enemy is taking measures to renew the combat capability of the air units of the airborne troops, which had suffered critical losses both in manpower and military equipment.
Despite the active measures taken by the federal security services, the rosguard, and the informational-psychological operations, which are taking place on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, russian occupants are facing enormous difficulties controlling the population in said territories. Attempts to install a false pro-russian government among the traitors and collaborators do not have support from the local population.
In the unrecognised transnistrian-moldavian republic, local russian curators are spreading rumors about involving transnistria in the war with Ukraine.
In the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the location of the 126th separate coast guard brigade held a farewell ceremony with approximately 100 dead members of the unit at once. Similar measures recently took place at the sailors‘ club in the city of Sevastopol, where a farewell was held for the marines of the Black Sea fleet who died in the war against Ukraine.
In the city of Dokuchaivsk of the Donetsk region the occupants created a filtration camp for civilians, who attempt to flee Mariupol. The punitive bodies of the russian federation’s FSB carry out so-called „filtration measures“ with the detained people.
In the regions of the settlements Kreminna and Rubizhne, there have been records of forced evacuation of the Ukrainian citizens by the occupants, and their deportation to the Voronezh region.
In some settlements of the Chernihiv region, which are temporarily occupied by the occupational forces, instances of tractors being seized from local farmers have been observed.
Agricultural machinery is being used for evacuating the occupants‘ damaged equipment.
In the Kharkiv region, a battalion-tactical group from the 59th tank regiment of the Western military district, which operated in the direction of Kharkiv, came under the fire of Ukrainian artillery. The consolidated unit suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.
