Im andauernden russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine kommen die russischen Streitkräfte nicht wirklich voran. Dennoch scheinen sie den Bezirk Luhans unter ihre Kontrolle bringen zu können.  Der Sammler am 21. Juni 2022:

Russia is likely to end up with more territory, they [U.S. officials] said, but neither side will gain full control of the region as a depleted Russian military faces an opponent armed with increasingly sophisticated weapons.(…)
After weeks of bloody battles in the east — with as many as 200 Ukrainian soldiers killed daily, by the government’s own estimate, and a similar or higher toll among Russian troops, according to Western estimates — Russia holds roughly the same amount of territory in Donetsk as the separatists controlled in February before the invasion.
But U.S. officials say they expect Russia to soon take over the entire Luhansk region. One defense official said he anticipated that the twin cities of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk would fall in days, as Russian forces pounded the area with heavy artillery and “dumb bombs” — unguided munitions that inflict high casualties.

On 17 June 2022, Ukrainian forces claimed their first successful use of Western-donated Harpoon anti-ship missiles to engage Russian maritime forces.
The target of the attack was almost certainly the Russian naval tug Spasatel Vasily Bekh, which was delivering weapons and personnel to Snake Island in the north-western Black Sea.
The destruction of the Russian vessel on a resupply mission demonstrates the difficulty Russia faces when attempting to support their forces occupying Snake Island.
This is the latest in a series of Russian vessels, including the cruiser Moskva, to be damaged or destroyed by Ukraine during the conflict.
Ukrainian coastal defence capability has largely neutralised Russia’s ability to establish sea control and project maritime force in the north-western Black Sea.
This has undermined the viability of Russia’s original operational design for the invasion, which involved holding the Odesa region at risk from the sea.

The one hundred eighteenth (118) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissya areas is without significant changes.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy continues to provide enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border. It fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of the settlement of Seredyna-Buda, Sumy oblast.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy’s main efforts are focused on maintaining the occupied borders, trying to prevent our units from retreating to the rear of the russian group of troops operating in the Slovyansk direction. The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Dmytrivka, Chuhuiv, Korobochkyne, Stara Hnylytsia and Bazaliivka.
In the Slovyansk direction, near the Bohorodychne and Dolyna, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed the assaults of the occupiers.
The enemy systematically carried out artillery shelling in the areas of the settlements of Hrushuvakha, Virnopillya, Adamivka and Mazanivka. Inflicted air strikes on civilian infrastructure near Bogorodychne.
The enemy did not take active action in the Kramatorsk direction. It fired at the positions of the defense forces with artillery, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and mortars along the line of contact.
In the Siverodonetsk direction, shelling of units of our troops from artillery of various calibres continues. It struck air strikes near Ustynivka, Hirske and Lysychansk. It does not stop the assault in order to establish full control over the city of Siverodonetsk. In addition to this city, our soldiers are successfully resisting the assaults in the areas of Syrotyne and Bila Hora.
In the Bakhmut direction, in the areas of the settlements of Mykolayivka, Vershyna and Semyhirya, the enemy is conducting offensive operations, fighting continues. In addition, the enemy cynically fired on civilian infrastructure near Pokrovskе, Mykolayivka and Bilohorivka.
It launched an air strike in the Avdiivka area near New York.
He fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Ocheretyne, Avdiivka, Kamyanka, Netaylove, Mykilske and Orikhove.
An air strike near Shcherbaky was recorded in the Kurakhiv direction. Defenders of Ukraine have stopped attempts at hostile assault in the Marinka area. The enemy fled ingloriously.
In the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhzia directions, the enemy did not take active action.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy suffers losses. In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, 5 high-precision weapons carriers are being held in readiness to launch missile strikes on objects on the territory of Ukraine.
According to available information, due to significant losses in the command staff of airborne units, the enemy is forced to recruit reserve officers for military service with short-term contracts for a period of three months.

Dabei geht es unter anderem um einen angeblichen Versuch der Ukraine, die umkämpfte Schlangeninsel zu erobern, der zurückgeschlagen worden sei. Interessante Randbemerkung dabei: Ausdrücklich erwähnt wird eine Global Hawk-Aufklärungsdrohne der USA, die in der Nähe geortet worden sei (die dürfte allerdings außerhalb des ukrainischen Hoheitsgebiets im internationalen Luftraum unterwegs gewesen sein).

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation in Ukraine.
On June 20, at about 05.00 AM, the Kiev regime attempted to capture Snake Island.
The plan of the operation composed by the Kiev regime supposed to launch massive air and artillery attacks at Snake Island, to disembark troops and capture it.
The air attack has involved more than 15 Ukrainian attack and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) adjusted by two Bayraktar-TB2 UAVs.
Russian means detected a Global Hawk RQ-4 strategic reconnaissance UAV of the U.S. Air Force at high altitudes near Snake Island.
Ukrainian UAVs were supported in air by S-300 air defence systems from their combat positions near Tuzla and Ochakov.
Missile and artillery attacks at Snake Island were launched by Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles, Uragan multiple rocket launchers and M777 155-mm howitzers from their combat positions to the west from Odessa and in Kubansky island.
Russian air defence means (Pantsir air defence missile and cannon system and Tor air defence missile system) have destroyed all the destruction means of the enemy launched at Snake Island.
The destroyed targets were: 13 UAVs, 4 Tochka-U missiles and 21 projectiles of Uragan multiple rocket launcher.
No Ukrainian destruction means have reached their targets in Snake Island.
The unsuccessful fire attack forced the enemy to abandon the landing to Snake Island.
After being convinced that the attempt to seize the island had failed, the Kiev regime took an attempt of a new gamble related to Russian gas infrastructure facilities in the north-western part of the Black Sea.
After 08.00 AM, anti-ship missiles and a Bayraktar-TB2 UAV attacked BK-1 and Krym-1 gas production platforms.
The Ukrainian provocation has resulted in an intensive fire at BK-1 platform, this area of the Black Sea has resulted to be in danger of an environmental disaster.
Sabotages of the Kiev regime have been reflected by launching Oniks cruise missiles at Shkolny military airfield near Odessa and the destruction of the hangars for Ukrainian Bayraktar-TB2 UAVs detected by Russian reconnaissance means.

In addition, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as of nationalist groups, including the Right Sector, have been neutralised near Belaya Gora, Novodruzhesk, Mirnaya Dolina, Podlesnoye and Volcheyarovka.
Within counter-battery warfare towards Donetsk, 2 plattoons of Uragan multiple rocket launchers have been neutralised near Zaryanoye and Dimitrov, as well as 2 plattoons of Giatsint-B 152-mm howitzers at their firing positions near Spartak and Podgornoye.
Operational-tactical and army aviation has neutralised: 57 manpower and military equipment concentration areas, 1 command post of the AFU, as well as a multi-function missile guidance radars of S-300 air defence system near Seversk (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Missile troops and artillery have neutralised: 216 manpower and military equipment concentration areas of the AFU, 28 command posts, 64 artillery units at their firing positions, as well as 2 munitions depots.
Attacks launched by aviation, missile troops and artillery have resulted in 570 nationalists, 29 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, as well as 16 special vehicles.
Russian air defence troops have shot down 1 Su-25 of the Ukrainian Air Force near Mazanovka (Kharkov region).
19 Ukrainian UAVs have been shot down near Krutaya Balka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Dibrovo, Kapitolovka, Liptsy and Zavody (Kharkov region). 5 Tochka-U tactical missiles, as well as 30 projectiles of Uragan multiple rocket launchers have been intercepted near Lozovskiy (Lugansk People’s Republic), Lozovaya, Kremenets, Aleksandrovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Dolgenkoye and Topolskoye (Kharkov region).
In total, 209 airplanes and 132 helicopters, 1,292 unmanned aerial vehicles, 348 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,709 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 580 combat vehicles equipped with multiple rocket-launching systems, 2,065 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 3,760 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
The enemy continues suffering considerable losses during the special military operation.
Only 28 servicemen of the 57th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU that operates in Severodonetsk have remained in the ranks, the other has been left only with commanders.
Reserves for replenishing the losses are exhausted.
Territorial Defence battalions that arrive from the western regions of Ukraine for reinforcing refuse to head to the front.
Servicemen of the 101st Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU have stated that the refuse to be involved in the operations and headed to the rear area in the responsibility zone of Soledar operational tactical group.
There are more than 600 persons who have refused to fight.
M777 155-mm howitzers delivered by USA and European countries to Ukraine have become a good target for Russian destruction means.
15 howitzers, mostly yet unused and deployed near Druzhkovka railway station, have been destroyed over the past 24 hours.
Residents of settlements adjacent to operations zones in Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Zaporozhye regions are being forcibly mobilised. National police units block the settlements for these purposes. Men of all ages are detained to be mobilised.
Kiev regime spreads information about an allegedly secret trip of Zelensky to Lisichansk where he faced a shelling.
At the same time, the group of Ukrainian troops near Lisichansk has been cut off from supplies and is being under firing control of the Russian Armed Forces.
According to the Ukrainian prisoners, units of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade have been abandoned by their commanders.
Servicemen who remained alive had nothing to do but to surrender for saving their lives.
The same situation is in the 57th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU. After losing the two thirds of personnel, its commander begged the group command to inform the AFU General Staff and Zelensky in person about the real situation.
Kiev regime continues spreading fake news in the best traditions of Kvartal-95 amid its military failures for doing something to stop the panic and the escape of its personnel from Donbass.

Operational update regarding the #russian_invasion as of 18:00 on June 21, 2022
The one hundred eighteenth (118) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.
No significant changes in the activities of units of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus have been recorded in the Volyn and Polissya areas. The threat of missile strikes from the territory of this country remains.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy continues the engineering equipment of the border areas and mining. He fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Seredyna-Buda, Myropillya, Yunakivka, Sumy oblast, and Hremyach in the Chernihiv oblast.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy conducted air reconnaissance in the areas of the settlements of Ruska Lozova, Cherkaska Lozova and Pytomnyk. Artillery shelling was recorded near Kharkiv, Peremoha, Verkhnyi Saltiv, Staryi Saltiv, Chepil, Rubizhne and Stara Hnylytsia. In addition, MLRS was used in the districts of Korobochkine, Mospanove and Kutuzivka.
In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy focuses its main efforts on maintaining previously occupied positions, conducting defense.
Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Bohorodichne, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Hrushuvakha, Dolyna, Petrivske, Zavhorodne, Protopopivka, Pryshyb, Karnaukhivka, Vernopillya, Chervone, Dovhenke and Krasnopillya. The occupiers launched an air strike near Dibrivne.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy regrouped in order to strengthen for further action in the Bakhmut direction. In addition, the formation of consolidated units was identified.
Thus, in connection with significant losses, the reorganization of two battalion tactical groups from the units of the 5th Combined Arms Army, which lost their combat capability, into one consolidated BTGr was noted. Also, according to available information, the enemy brought units of the 1st Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps to restore combat capability.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not take active action, firing at the positions of our troops with mortars, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Donetsk, Starodubivka, Mykolaivka and Pryshib.
Fighting continues in the Siverodonetsk direction in the city of Siverodonetsk.
The enemy fired from tanks and artillery near Siverodonetsk, Lysychansk, Voronovo, Myrna Dolyna and Hirske.
The Ukrainian soldiers competently repulsed the enemy’s reconnaissance attempt by fighting in the directions of Metolkine-Voronovo and Metolkine-Sirotyne. The enemy retreated.
The occupiers are consolidating in the settlement of Ustynivka, are conducting an offensive in the direction of Bila Hora, have partial success, and hostilities continue.
In the direction of Toshkivka – Pidlisne, the enemy captured the settlements of Pidlisne and Myrna Dolyna, consolidated on the occupied frontiers. Also, has partial success in the area of the settlement of Hirske.
The Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed the assault in the direction of Vysoke.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired on the areas of Berestove and Komyshuvakha. It led the offensive in the direction of Aleksandropil – Komyshuvakha. It was unsuccessful, and retreated.
The enemy did not take active action in the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia areas. It fired on the territories near Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Novoandriyivka, Huliaipilske and Novosilka.
In the direction of the South Buh, the enemy, in order to deplete the personnel and destroy the fortifications, carried out fire on the positions of our troops and conducted air reconnaissance of UAVs.
